BUDAPEST, HUNGARY
September 24, 2019 I went to go find myself in Budapest. Budapest is a peaceful city in Hungary known for its therapeutic thermal baths and numerous fairytale views. The parliament building is a must see in this city. There are 24 round hour guards that work surrounding this magnificent structure. The routine and organized marches are mesmerizing. I spent an hour just watching how professional the guards were. The Fisherman’s Basin has cinematic 360 views of the city while walking along balconies that were made for queens and kings. I spent a solid 3 hours exploring this destination and wandered into a stranger that ended up spending the rest of my Budapest adventures with me. Brittany and I were both solo travelers and had a desire to explore. We went to the Budapest castle, had coffee, ate a really elegant lunch, went out for drinks in the evening after having some of the best goulash soup I have ever had. We also found ourselves in a feature Hungarian film in the middle of town with locals! Budapest is just breath taking and of course, the Szechenyi thermal spa and Gellert Thermal Bath is a must see while visiting. It is said that there are healing powers in the waters that restores your balance and peace! Be sure to rent a scooter to ride along the Danube River to check out the monument of the holocaust and cross the bridge to watch the sunset.
XOXO,
JASE
