BLOOMINGTON, IN
On March 15, 2021 (Brandon and I’s 1-year) we had a staycation in Bloomington, indiana- about an hour from where we live! We stayed at the Graduate Hotel in a rooftop terrace suite playing card games, watching movies that have been on our list for a while, and picking up some local pizza to bring back to eat in bed!
We did venture out to the Oliver winery to have a picnic wine date, run through the vineyard, and get a little tipsy on some nice Midwest wine. We have been wanting to go here for quite some time so we were very excited to visit and it definitely did not disappoint!!
We also went and celebrated our anniversary at Uptown Cafe for some of the best steaks ever!!!! This little city has so much to offer and the town square is so cute, walkable, and refreshing! And of course, visiting IU campus is a must anytime in the spring.

FRENCH LICK, INDIANA
On October 25, 2020 my love and I went to a legendary Indiana treasure. The French lick Resort in French Lick, Indiana. We stayed at the original West Baden Resort Springs Hotel. This Indiana famous luxury hotel was one of the most romantic getaways that I have came across. The staff was so involved on our stay accommodating every activity including horse back riding at the stables with instructor Matt, bowling in the private alley while enjoying pizza, foot golf, massage treatments at the beautiful spa, multiple room services, dinner at the famous 1875 Steakhouse, breakfast at Sinclair’s, and riding the Surrey bike around campus! You could spend hours walking through the gardens at both resorts. One of our favorite memories from this trip was dancing in the rain under the ivy covered gazebo. The endless drinks at the heated outdoor pool came to a close second :P
French lick is an amazing area to relax and adventure! Brandon and I had a blast going to wilstem for an adventurous day with the giraffes, and zip-lining underneath the autumn leaves!!! Wilstem provides amazing holiday light shows to enjoy during the night as well!
The French lick winery was the place to be for all sweet wine-loving connoisseurs. We fell in love with the ruby rhazz and the French Lick Tickle bubbly during our tasting!
